He fabricates an elaborate experiment to scare off Henry and Delilah. He listens to Henry and Delilah’s conversations. He destroys the girls’ camp and runs them off. It’s Ned who’s been causing them trouble. As far as Delilah now knows, Brian and Ned are gone. Even though Brian should never have been with Ned, Delilah didn’t report it. She thought Ned was a horrible father, hated the way he treated Brian, and never liked him. Delilah immediately took to Brian and befriended him. Ned Goodwin was the last person to have Henry’s post, but Ned brought his 12-year-old son with him. The game is a character study-the relationship between two flawed individuals who find escape in the wilderness.Ī third, flawed soul has been inserting himself into Delilah and Henry’s relationship. Delilah mentions a “he,” and she doesn’t think "has any idea." Henry might jump to the conclusion that she’s being shady and talking about him to someone else this is exactly what Campo Santo wants players to consider.But she’s only talking to a co-worker. There’s a moment early when Delilah asks Henry to hold on, and he can hear her talking to someone else. However, Delilah-as-antagonist is not the story the developers are telling.įirst things first: Developer Campo Santo has made it clear that making some players question Delilah’s trustworthiness is part of the plan. Yes, the game does encourage players (and protagonist Henry) to suspect her. After everything that’s revealed, I couldn’t understand why players came to this conclusion. By the end of the game, players are convinced that she’s a co-conspirator who’s masterminded the summer’s events.
